The space provides a decision support systems focusing on climate change and climatic variability risks.The first project on the platform is CRASALwhose objective is to aid in feed resources allocation in Ngaremara, Burat and Oldonyiro wards of Isiolo County. The system has an early warning system embedded in the tool which forecasts foliage and browse resources against animal demand. Alternative strategic and tactical reactions are proposed to respond to the fluctuations.
Further, the system considers historical diseases and biophysical information to Crasal predict the probability of a specific disease occurring. An alert related to feeds scarcity or occurrence of diseases is generated for notification purposes only.The tools are in continuous development and refinement and thus the creators do not assume liability for use of the tools.
